The REO News from August 1954 reports that sale were negligible in Ballivor.
This digital scan from the REO News displays the following text:
"Ballivor Rural Area, Co. Meath: Mr. A. Ryan, R.A.E., tells us that when he took up duty in Ballivor, he found that 28 of his prospective consumers had already been supplied from Longwood Rural Area. The result was that his area return had already disimproved slightly even before he started and his consumers had fallen from 290 to 262. There were 19 backsliders which caused a further 5 consumers to become uneconomic, but the advent of new consumers brought the final total to 274. At the time of writing the report, final costs were not available so it is not possible to give the complete picture.
Sales in the Area are described as negligible and the reason for this is that the regular A.O. had been called up for training in Head Office. He is now back with the crew in the neighbouring Kildalkey Area and is still in contact with potential buyers in Ballivor."
