The REO News from January 1957 informs us that sales were reasonable in Boston
This digital scan from the REO News displays the following text:
"Boston Rural Area, Co. Galway: Mr. P. Thornbury was the R.A.E. in Boston but, on his transfer to Portlaoise District, Mr. C. O’Maidin took over his crew.
Boston is not at all a prosperous area and is very thinly populated and Mr. O’Maidin notes that 75 of the total of 159 consumers are paying special service charges. With such a high percentage of special service charges, one must expect a diminution in return and that was the inevitable fate of the Boston area.
Sales at a total of £417 must be considered as reasonable, although small."
