There was a satisfactory report from Freemount according to The REO News from February 1956.
This digital scan from the REO News displays the following text:
"Freemount Rural Area, Co. Cork: Mr. Tynan tells us that Freemount completes the north Cork section of Limerick District. The terrain was very hilly and the roads were found to be in very poor condition but, fortunately, the ideal summer of last year favoured construction. The area return improved from 4.70% to 4.80% and it is of interest to note that 93.5% of the total possible consumers have been supplied. The gang completed 4,774 units of work at an average cost of 29/8d per unit, and generally everyone concerned is to be congratulated on the result.
Mr. G. Whyte, Area Organiser, did an excellent job on his sales with a total of £2,100, the main items showing a nice balance between agricultural and domestic appliances and including 16 pumps.
Altogether a very satisfactory report."
