Sales in Keel were mentioned in The REO News from July 1957.
This digital scan from the REO News displays the following text:
"Sales: Sales generally were low but not disappointingly so in view of the period during which the areas were under construction. Even in the Keel area, Co. Kerry which the R.A.E., an t‑Uasal MacCathmhaoil, states is a congested district with small uneconomic holdings, the sales figure reached £323. A delay in switching on, not attributed to any specific reason, caused further sales to be postponed. Once again L.P. Gas raises its ugly head as the villain of the piece in hindering the use of electricity for cooking for some time to come."
