Surprisingly little rock was encountered in Kilcommon according to The REO News from February 1956
This digital scan from the REO News displays the following text:
"Kilcommon Rural Area, Co. Tipperary: Mr. D. A. Harnett provides the report on Kilcommon Area and according to the figures he supplies, his return improved from 4.45% to 5.81%, a matter on which he and his crew are to be congratulated. In spite of the fact that the area is fairly mountainous, surprisingly little rock was encountered but travelling conditions on the roads were well below standard.
Mr. John Penny, Area Organiser, had an excellent sales total of £1,640 and, from the list which he supplies, there seems to have been a leaning towards the domestic rather than the agricultural appliances."
