"Senator G. Bennett, speaking at Kilfinnane, said that this was one of the most pleasant functions he had ever attended. He said electricity in the homes would brighten the lives of the people and remove the drudgery from the life of the housewife. He quoted examples of how electricity harnessed from the Niagara Falls, Canada, where he resided many years ago, was used by the people, and the beneficial effect it had on their lives."
