"Killinure Rural Area, Cos. Carlow/Wicklow:
Mr. H. Boylan, R.A.E., who has given us the report on Killinure also joins the band of those who have just completed their first area and, like so many others in the same position, he pays tribute to the men of his crew for their excellent co‑operation and advice, making particular mention of the A/C. Mr. Bruder and the Supervisor, Mr. J. Miley. Of Mr. Miley, Mr. Boylan says that his “intimate knowledge of rural construction more than offsets any inexperience on my part”.
Of the original 228 economic acceptances, 13 were backsliders."

"AREA NOTES (Contd.)
…but 64 new consumers came in, and the final total of 332 shows a nett gain of 44 consumers. Revenue improved from £1,816 to £2,122 and net expenditure was £569 less than the original. The original percentage of 5.96% improved to 6.04%, a very credible result when it is remembered that there was a debit of £604 for tools which are now transferred free to subsequent areas. For the improved consumer situation, Mr. Boylan gives the credit to the A.O., Mr. Leo Poole.
Mr. Poole also did well on the sales side with a total of £902, including 8 pumps. He is very sanguine about future sales, and recommends an early visit of the salesvan."
