This digital scan from the REO News displays the following text:
"Knockcroghery Rural Area, Co. Roscommon: Mr. H. O’Keeffe, R.A.E. says that the entry of rural electrification into his area, having been delayed for four years, was at first received with apathy by the long disappointed consumers. However, the final figures show only 46 backsliders and a total of 412 economic acceptances have been included, with an increase in revenue from £2,149 to £2,482. The final cost was £33,654, as against £34,540 estimated for 380 consumers. The percentage return improved from 5.32% to 5.70%.
The two demonstrations attracted large attendances and the A.O.’s sales were £370.
Public lighting was installed by the County Council in Knockcroghery Village."
