The REO News from July 1948 reported on a demonstration held in Lombardstown.A scanned page from the ESB REO magazine about the Lombardstown Rural Area. This digital scan from the REO News displays the following text:
"R.E.O. staged an exhibit, similar to that of the R.D.S. Spring Show, at the Munster Show held in Cork on the 29th and 30th of June. A demonstration on a bigger scale than usual was held at Lombardstown, Co. Cork. In addition to our usual show given by the mobile unit, manufacturers of some of the better known types of milking machines were invited to participate. The milking machines on display were the Alpha‑Laval, Gascoigne, Gordon Vacuum Break (New Zealand), and Wood (Canadian). Lombardstown is a dairy area and we are watching with interest the sale of these machines."
